Air conditioners
The energy consumption from air conditioners during summer is a major portion of energy consumed in the home.
Around 26% of the average household energy consumption is associated with air conditioning.
For the summer period the recommended range for household air conditioning thermostats is 24 to 27 degrees Celsius
for energy efficiency and comfort. Around these set points, for each degree the thermostat is raised, the energy
consumption and cost associated with air conditioners can decrease by up to 10%.
